Why do we use cookies on our website?
Cookies can have different purposes. At the website of Cookie Though we use cookies with only one goal:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Cloudflare sets a cookie to detect malicious visitors on our webiste and minimizes blocking legitimate users. It identifies inidividual clients behind a shared IP address and applies security settings on a per-client basis. It collects and anonymizes End User IP addresses using a one-way hash of certain values so they cannot be personally identified. The cookie is a session cookie that expires after 30 days.
- Optional cookies: the demo application stores a first party cookie (cookie-preferences). It is set when running the Cookie Though demo and stores these preferences and is kept for one year.
